Chapel Idne Surf Shop based in Sennen Cove,
Cornwall opened in 2002. Previous to that it was a beach shop
in the old complex built back in 1959. The Shop today is still
run by the same family.
The new shop was built in March of 2002 by the family and was
the design of Poynton Bradbury Wynter Cole Architects. Its
location is on the site of a ancient chapel from which the
shop takes its name Chapel Idne meaning 'narrow chapel'.
Sennen Cove has been a popular UK surfing destination since
the late 60's and is now home to successful young surfers like
Sam Bleakley, twice European Longboard Champion and Seb Smart,
English and British U14's Champion. Chapel Idne Surf Shop are
proud to have them surfing on their team.
